Oberammergau Passion Play 2010
In the 1630s when a plague decimated the little Bavarian community, villagers gathered and vowed if God spared their town, that every 10 years they would stage a Passion Play depicting the last week of Christ’s life. This Passion play has been performed every 10 years since 1634, and will next be performed during the summer of 2010 (and then not again until 2020!) Pastor Bruce and Ann Frederickson, recently retired from Messiah Lutheran, Mounds View, are organizing a trip to the Passion Play, as well as Austria and Switzerland and other parts of Germany. Tickets are limited, and this passion play won’t be performed again for another 10 years! Interested persons are urged to contact the Frederickson’s soon at 763-786-2723 or BruceF6300@comcast.net. Cost is $399 (Most students raise all or most of the cost)
It's a week in service to those who need a helping hand with their homes. They have cool live music and speakers each night and you get to make new friends from all over the country. Most students that try it once go back year after year after year, that's how awesome the experience is!
