Preschool Open House & Registration

The Messiah Preschool will hold an Open House and Registration event on February 6 from 4:00-6:00pm in the Preschool rooms. If your child will be at least 36 months old by September 1, 2012, you and your child are encouraged to come and visit us! We are excited to show you the classrooms, play with preschool toys and games, and tell you about our program! We were voted "Best Preschool in Mounds View" in 2011 and want to show you why... At Messiah Preschool, children learn about the world that God made, learn to socialize, get ready for kindergarten, and learn about their LORD and Savior!

Cooking Safely for a Crowd Workshop

COOKING SAFELY FOR A CROWD WORKSHOP will be held at Messiah on Thursday, February 9 at 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. 2011 changes in Minnesota law require food safety training for people who cook and serve food at some faith-based and community events. Lori Green from the St. Paul-Ramsey Department of Public Health will be presenting the workshop. Who should attend? Anyone who plans, cooks or serves food at group events. This includes cooks and servers at church and community events that occur once a week OR only once a year. This workshop will satisfy the requirement for a trained volunteer as stated in the Minnesota Statue. We invite everyone to attend that cooks for or serves at weddings, receptions, funerals, Wednesday night meals, community events, etc. Any questions, contact Donna at 651.784.3392. Valentine Family Carnival!

Bring your kids and friends to the Second Annual Valentine Family event! This year’s featured guest is comic illusionist, Norm Barnhart! “Magic Norm” has been an entertainer for 28 years and has performed in 49 states & 5 countries. He trains other magicians and comedians and has written 5 books and produced 6 videos. He has performed in multiple venues from cruise ships to concerts and television shows. His style is engaging for ALL AGES. Crafts, Snacks & Photos start at 2:00pm, Norm performs "The Good News Show" at 3:30pm. Don't miss the FUN!! This event is free of charge and we are delighted to have guests join us.

Women of Messiah Meeting

ALL WOMEN OF MESSIAH JOIN US on Tuesday, February 14 for our first meeting of 2012 at 7:00 p.m. to hear Steve Pickel tell us about the Children’s Christian Concern Society. A portion of our Bazaar funds was dedicated to this organization. Steve is on its Board of Directors and is dedicated to its purpose and growth. We also plan to tie 4 fleece blankets. Bring a friend and celebrate Valentine’s Day! Newcomers warmly welcomed.

Valentine's Day with XYZers

XYZ (eXtra Years of Zest retirees)– will celebrate Valentine’s Day together on Tuesday, February 14. Come and join us. The vote was for lunch and a movie. We will meet at 11:00 at Green Mill, 4355 Pheasant Ridge Drive in Lino Lakes and then off to a movie at Wynnsong in Mounds View. Sign up on the bulletin board for reservations and carpooling.
