Leadership Council Responsibilities

1. Works with the staff to ensure that the mission will be implemented and sustained through the efforts of congregational members.
2. Is responsible to see that Christian education programs, spiritual care and nurturing of its members and outreach to the community are conducted in a God-pleasing manner.
3. Reviews proposed annual objectives and prepares an annual budget for approval by the congregation.
4. Oversees financial expenditures.
5. The members of the Leadership Council shall individually and collectively:

• Provide spiritual leadership for Messiah
• Be intimately involved in the spiritual care of the congregation
• Be intimately involved in the spiritual growth of the congregation
• Pray for the needs of Messiah
• Pray for the needs of individual members of Messiah
• Be available to offer prayer to members when they need or request it
• Be focused on spiritual matters as well as concerned with administrative matters
• Be prayerfully supportive of the ministry staff at Messiah
• Be prayerfully supportive and encouraging to each other
