Our upper grades kids enjoy a variety of learning styles, teachers and classes through our ROTATION Sunday School.
Kids are split into 4 groups for the year. Each group had one SHEPHERD leader, who is with them weekly to take attendance and supervise the group.
Each week the kids rotate to a different teacher and "station." The stations are art, computer, cooking, games, music, science, storytelling, and video.
For example, this year one of the topics is the story of Joseph. The four-week rotation may be that one week they will learn about Joseph through ART, the next week they will experience the story through GAMES, the third week they might act out Joseph's life in STORYTELLING, the fourth week they may do a SCIENCE experiment to reinforce the lesson.
Every child is unique and has a learning style that resonates with them. Through the rotation experience everyone is engaged in a way that is meaningful to them and multiple experiences enhance the lesson.
