Sunday School
Messiah’s Sunday School esteems our children, highly. We believe that all children are called to be witnesses for Christ and that theme underpins our Sunday School program. Children three years through fifth grade are welcome to participate Sunday mornings 9:45 – 10:45AM. Contact Mary 763-780-1248, Roleene 763-786-2274 or Mike 763-767-8086.
Holyland Jouneys provides adventure and fun as we explore the Bible. Children will be in groups of 10-15 led by adult shepherds. The shepherd will stay with the group for 13 weeks. After 13 weeks the groups will change. Each Sunday, groups will travel to different rooms to experience a story of the Bible in different ways. Learning may take place through drama, cooking, science, arts and crafts or research. Holyland Journeys are for our second through fifth graders.
Growing in Christ is for three year olds through first graders. This curriculum has great visuals and helps us teach children the grace and love of God in each lesson. Each class will meet in their own space in the downstairs preschool area.
Volunteers
We welcome volunteers in our classrooms. Please speak to one of the Sunday School Superintendants if you are interested in volunteering. Messiah also requires all Sunday School volunteers to complete and authorize a background check. You can download the BACKGROUND CHECK FORM and turn it in to a superintendant.
